BIKE RACE!

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!

An 8-hour endurance mountain bike race beginning at 5 am on the Warnaar Trail at Meyer Broadway Park in Three Rivers. All proceeds to benefit SWMMBA and St. Joseph County Animal Control.

The Details:

Solo rider, two-person, and four-person relay team categories.
No bike category or restrictions. (No E-bikes, sorry.)
Professional timing.
No swag bags (you’d just throw it all away anyway.)
No prize money.
Top 3 riders/teams from each category will win “fabulous” prizes.
5 am mass start (bring lights maybe?)
No restrictions on team member laps. Switch every lap, switch every 10 laps, trick one team member into doing the whole thing… whatever.
Pit row available for team tents. We will contact you with setup info as the race gets closer.
The party starts at 11 am with food trucks and at 12 pm in the beer garden. Yes, you will still be stuck on the course until 1 pm. But your family and friends that are there to heckle you will be hungry, they may also want a beer.
Speaking of beer and food. You don’t get any for free (look at how cheap that race entry is!) but all proceeds from beer sales go to benefit SWMMBA and St. Joseph County Animal Control. So basically you are saving cute, cuddly animals with every sip.
Stick around in the afternoon to celebrate your feats of strength in the beautiful Meyer Broadway park with music and the aforementioned food and drink.
St. Joseph County Parks & Recreation will be waiving daily entry fees to the park.
We can’t wait to see you there.

PARTY at the FORT

Let’s celebrate winter the best way we know how, with BBQ and bikes!

We’ll bring out the grill to cook lunch and have a fire going to keep warm, plan on groomed fat biking or singletrack riding depending on the weather, sledding for distance if there is enough snow, whatever the weather brings we are up for!

This is a pretty low key social event. Bring your family, bring your bikes, lets have a good time. Meet at the upper Eagle Lake Parking lot pavilion. See you there!

Note: SWMMBA will not be providing any alcoholic beverages, but they are legal to consume at Fort Custer after Labor Day and before April 1st. So if you’d like to bring a beer or two to enjoy by the campfire it certainly wouldn’t be out of place 😉
